History
Clan ShadowSkye and the Skye Bloodline were formed March 12, 1997, uniting the families and bloodlines of Alysia Skye and Glenn Shadow, who swore blood oaths of affirming their eternal friendship, kinship, and loyalty to each other. After several years, Glenn Shadow left Rhydin and returned to his domain in Hell, leaving the leadership of the bloodline to his sister. As time went on, Alysia adopted a few members of the Vladslace Bloodline formerly headed by her mother's sire, Daemonshi. After the disappearance of her ex-husband, Daemyon Bloodshire, Alysia accepted the allegience of all remaining members of the Bloodshire family.

Code of Honor
Members of the bloodline come from a wide variety of backgrounds, but generally share friendships and ideals, as well as agreeing to a code of honor.

Abilities
The nature of the fire and shadow of Alysia and Glenn's mingled bloodlines encompasses the contrast between Order and Chaos, of continual evolution and change. All members of the Clan, regardless of their position within the bloodline, possess some ability with the following skills:
- Obtenebration: The unearthly control over shadows.
- Thaumaturgy: The study and practice of sorcery.
- Demonics/Infernalism: Innate understanding of demonic summonings and Hellish incantations, and the language of Mabrahoring.
- Protean: Shapechanging.
- Celerity: Supernatural quickness and reflexes.
- Potence: The Discipline of physical vigor and strength.
- Fortitude: Unearthly toughness, even to the point of resisting fire and sunlight.
- Chimerstry: The ability to create illusions and hallucinations.
- Auspex: Extrasensory perception, awareness, and premonitions. This is greatly enhanced with the use of Bloodspice or exposure to the Shadow Plague.
The Family
Truebloods of the Skye Bloodline
Truebloods are physically birthed into the family. They possess all of the innate powers and skills of the bloodline. Those they adopt or sire into the family are brought in at the next “generation,” with a commensurate weakening of the line’s powers.

Kin of the Skye Bloodline
Kin of the bloodline are adopted into the family with a ritual exchange of blood. They may eventually possess all of the innate powers of a Trueblood, but the use of those skills requires more training and effort. Those they adopt or sire into the family are brought in at the next generation. If two Kin spawn a child, it is considered a Trueblood.
